Short intro

THE DEAR HUNTER is an American progressive rock band originating in Providence, Rhode Island. It began as a side project of Casey Crescenzo when he was a member of The Receiving End of Sirens, before becoming his main band in 2006. The band’s sound features a wide variety of instruments and styles. Falling somewhere between THE MARS VOLTA and COHEED AND CAMBRIA, THE DEAR HUNTER may appeal to some fans of either band.

Elegy @ProgPower Europe

THE DEAR HUNTER was booked for ProgPower Europe 2020, but due to covid we had to cancel the event. Therefore we are extremely happy the band will finally hit our stage, headlining our 25th anniversary edition on Saturday 4 October. Don’t miss it!

Sputnik Music
"This album is spectacular from a compositional and aesthetical standpoint that will help define the legacy of The Dear Hunter as one of the most talented bands of their era."
Everything is noise
“'The Dear Hunter is as ambitious as ever on a musical level, which ultimately causes the narrative aspect to not be at the standards previously established by this group."
Progarchives
"It's beautifully composed, combining energy, drive, melodic notes and instruments virtuosities for those involved with the album. The music of The Dear Hunter can be considered as Operatic Progressive Rock; a new category that should be created, I believe. ”
